Exciting Automobile Launches Expected in India April 2024

The first quarter of 2024 has already witnessed the introduction of several cars and two-wheelers in India, including notable releases like the BYD Deal, Tata Punch EV, Kawasaki Z650RS, and Mercedes-Benz GLS. As we move into April, the automotive industry is gearing up for the launch of some promising vehicles, ranging from internal combustion engine (ICE) models to electric vehicles (EVs).

Skoda Superb

Skoda is set to unveil its popular sedan, the Superb, in India on April 3. This highly anticipated release is expected to arrive as a completely built-up (CBU) vehicle, likely with a premium price tag. The Superb is anticipated to offer two engine options: a 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine and a 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine. With its premium positioning, the Superb is set to impress with features such as a 13-inch infotainment system, a digital driver’s display, and three-zone automatic climate control.

Ather Rizta

Ather Energy, a leading electric two-wheeler manufacturer, is gearing up to launch its first family scooter, the Ather Rizta, at its community day event scheduled for April 6. While specific details about the scooter have not been confirmed, it is expected to boast a larger seat and a more traditional design compared to Ather’s existing Ather 450X electric scooter.

Mahindra XUV300 Facelift

Mahindra is preparing to introduce the facelift version of its popular compact SUV, the XUV300. Expected to hit the market with diesel and petrol powertrain options, the XUV300 facelift promises significant design updates, enhanced interiors, and improved features while retaining the five variants offered in the current model lineup.

Maruti Suzuki Swift

India’s largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki, is poised to launch the 2024 iteration of its beloved Swift model in March. Anticipated changes include a refreshed design, a new three-cylinder engine for improved fuel efficiency, and upgraded interiors. The Swift is expected to be equipped with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine paired with a five-speed CVT transmission.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor

Toyota is set to introduce the Urban Cruiser Taisor, its rebranded version of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, in April. This release is expected to feature slight design modifications compared to the existing Fronx model and will likely be offered with a sole 1.2-litre engine option, omitting the turbo engine variant.

Honda Activa Electric

Honda, a leading player in India’s two-wheeler market, is venturing into the electric segment with the launch of the electric version of its popular scooter, Activa. The Activa Electric is anticipated to retain the design of its internal combustion engine (ICE) counterpart while offering a range of approximately 100 km on a single charge. Positioned to compete with models like the TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak, the Activa Electric signifies Honda’s commitment to electric mobility in India.
