Tata Motors Reports 8% Sales Growth in February

Tata Motors, headquartered in New Delhi, announced an 8% increase in total wholesales for February, reaching 86,406 units compared to 79,705 units in the same period last year. The company revealed these figures in a regulatory filing.

Domestic Sales Performance

Domestic sales experienced a robust growth of 9%, totaling 84,834 units compared to 78,006 units in February of the previous year. This growth was primarily driven by the passenger vehicles segment, including electric vehicles, which saw a significant increase.

Passenger Vehicles Segment

Sales of passenger vehicles, including electric vehicles, surged by 19% in the domestic market, reaching 51,321 units compared to 43,140 units in February of the preceding year. This notable growth reflects the continued demand for Tata Motors’ offerings in the passenger vehicle segment.

Commercial Vehicles Segment

However, the commercial vehicles segment witnessed a slight decline, with total sales dropping by 4% to 35,085 units from 36,565 units in February 2023. Despite this decline, Tata Motors remains optimistic about the performance of its commercial vehicle portfolio.

In summary, Tata Motors’ sales performance in February underscores its resilience and continued growth trajectory in the domestic market. The notable increase in passenger vehicle sales demonstrates strong consumer demand, while the company remains focused on addressing challenges and exploring opportunities in the commercial vehicles segment.
