Apple Watch Series 6 and Apple Watch SE

During its annual Apple Event 2020, held in the heart of the US’ Silicon Valley, Apple unveiled a range of new products, including the Apple Watch SE and the latest Apple Watch Series 6. Additionally, the event marked the introduction of the AppleOne subscription service, bundling together various Apple services into a single subscription package.

Apple Watch Series 6

The newest addition to the Apple Watch lineup, the Series 6, comes with an array of features aimed at enhancing health tracking capabilities. It boasts a new health sensor capable of measuring blood oxygen levels using red and infra-red light, with the entire process taking just 15 seconds. Powered by the S6 chip, it offers a 20% boost in performance compared to its predecessor. The Series 6 introduces the ‘solo loop’ design for its band, eschewing clasps and buckles for a seamless, overlapping-free design. With seven different watch faces and a choice of seven colors for the watchband, users have ample customization options. The Apple Watch Series 6 starts at ₹40,900 for the GPS model and ₹49,900 for the GPS+Cellular variant.

Apple Watch SE

The Apple Watch SE is positioned as a more budget-friendly alternative to the Series 6, offering many of the same features at a lower price point. It sports the same large display and sensors as the Series 6 but is powered by the previous generation S5 chip. Like its counterpart, it also supports the ‘solo loop’ band design and offers customization options. The Apple Watch SE is priced at ₹29,900 for the GPS model and ₹33,900 for the GPS+Cellular version.
